Graphic design and graphic design for the digital age are two words that are often used interchangeably.
As a designer and a graphic designer, I find myself in the crosshairs of both.
As I write this article, the internet is ablaze with discussion of the controversy that is the controversy surrounding the use of the word ‘white.’
Some people are arguing that I’m in the wrong and that I should not be able to use the word, because it’s not a race.
If you’re a white designer or graphic designer and you’re using the word “white,” you are, at best, in the right.
You are also in the same situation as if you were a black designer or a gay designer or any other designer or artist or whatever that has a race in it.
There are a lot of people who are calling for me to get off my soapbox and be the face of a brand, but I’m not a brand.
